Front Page Material. Could've had a more satisfying ending though.

this is fucking insanely good
literally top tier sick animation content
I wonder what framerate this was animated in, since that can affect the things I noticed: mainly that the smears seem to last a bit too long, and the lip sync is subtly off (just enough to be noticeable)
Other than that of course your character art is stellar, the poses are great and I can see what you were going for anyway!
Thank you for the feedback! I animated it in CSP at 24fps, sometimes it's hard to work with audio cos it desyncs a bit. Definitely still figuring out timing with the smears and I'm glad you liked it!
the point is so good
This is super funny and has really great potential, but the long waits ruin some of the pacing.
The most significant problem is that there's not enough sound effects, the jokes don't have a lot of punch. In the 'something about' series, for instance, there's a whole lot of sound effects and loud noises (perhaps way too many).
I know it sounds like I'm saying 'add more screams' but yeah there's just a severe lack of noise and impact when it comes to the gags (like the characters talking without making any noise, impacts coming without sound, ralsei vomiting but with no noise to back it up), that kind of thing. Look at Deltarune itself, it adds explosions and all sorts of noises to add to the punchlines of its jokes.
The art style is really funny, some gags got me, it's a super strong foundation and I hope when you do Chapter 2 you'll put more into sound design to really make the jokes stand out and hit harder. Great work here though.
thank you for your criticism! the thing is, i know. i just wanted to stretch this to 4 minutes and i'm just too lazy to actually animate every second of it so i just do a 4 second pause here and there. but don't worry! i promise i won't do it again in later animations!
Absolutely amazing!
If the peter voice was more accurate it would've made the bit funnier, I think.
It’s Peter Peecha what are you talking abt?
Definitely a solid piece of work, but the voice work is a bit quiet and subdued, like it's trying to be a very gritty noire feeling without actually going all the way.
